CityPlace, a project of the Rawlings Foundation, is rolling out a new grants program that will benefit nonprofit and church organizations. In today’s turbulent economy, many nonprofits and churches are facing tight budgets. The Rawlings Foundation hopes this new program will help them keep more fundraising dollars in their pockets.
The Special Use Grant is intended for nonprofits who are seeking event space for a variety of organizational, ministry or fundraising activities. Many times funds raised through special events are drastically reduced after paying fees for rental space. Also, many churches need additional space to hold ministry events, Bible Studies, weekly programming or large gathering fellowship events, but lack the funds needed to secure that space. The Foundation intends to remove that burden by offering their sophisticated and spacious event venues free of charge. In exchange for the space, nonprofits and churches are asked to bring volunteer support to set up and clean up their event. For small organizations without access to volunteers, a minimal cleaning fee would apply.
The Rawlings Foundation built the CityPlace campus to foster economic development in Oldham County and to provide affordable space that allows people to gather and host memorable events. This new initiative will help churches, faith-based organizations and nonprofits achieve those goals. To fill out an application, use the link below.
