The property that CityPlace stands on has a diverse history. What is now Pavilion 1 was formerly a Southern States agricultural supply store. Over time Southern States moved out, and the property became an abandoned eyesore with deteriorating structures. In 2014, the Rawlings Foundation purchased and renovated the campus breathing new life and purpose into the space. The construction of Pavilion 2 made the event space complete. The campus has become a gateway to the City of LaGrange and a hub of community activity.
The sophisticated design of CityPlace intertwines its rustic roots with a modern, industrial feel. Whether you hope to create an event with barn-inspired touches or are searching for a sleek space to impress corporate clients, we can make anything happen at CityPlace.
There are two event venues located on our campus. Pavilion 1 and Pavilion 2 combined offer 12,000 square feet of space perfect for conventions, conferences, corporate retreats, nonprofit or church events, private parties and more. The venues offer state-of-the-art technology for both audio and visual presentations, meetings and performances. In addition, The Plaza at CityPlace is a 22,500 square foot park-like setting. It provides an ideal location for outdoor concerts, team building activities and community events. For additional information, view layouts for each CityPlace event venue.
